Sold!
Although, unlike Goodrow, Blais will have rust and will probably/should be worked back in to get a feel for the game/playoffs. |

After watching that game last night, I think either team in the East will feast on the goaltending (or lack thereof) in the West. |

COL-EDM - Neither team can play defense. Wont work against Tampa/NY |
|
|
|
Agreed…feel like whoever comes out of the East will likely win due to defense and goaltending. |

At home and played only 2 days ago, as opposed to having a 10 day layoff, I expect the Rangers to have much better legs than Bolts and come out hot tonight.... |

Shesterkin and Vasilevskiy are the two best goalies remaining in the playoffs, and it's not even close. As much firepower as the West has, I just don't think that McJesus can ride Mike F-ing Smith to the finals. And Colorado is not much better with Kuemper, who might be hurt now on top of being mediocre in the first place. Not a good situation for either team.
Breadman and Ducherov are drooling over the prospect of picking apart Smith or Kuemper/Francouz.

You never know how one team will play/match-up against another, especially east-west teams.
Though, the East teams typically are a hard checking, defensive minded play style in comparison to West teams. Last night proved that in spades.
My god, every shot you thought was going to be a goal and not because they were all high quality shots. |

It was actually less fun to watch when there's a stoppage and face off at center every 4 minutes. |

Nice write up Jan - clean and unbiased.
On paper, we all know who should win and we've been here before. If there's anything this team has taught us, its analytics be damned. There's no calculation for heart and drive. This team has it in spades. LGR! |

Will be nice to have a little more room in the offensive zone, should help 5v5 production. On the flip side, Rangers can’t give up the type of chances they did against the Canes. Tampa is stacked with guys who can finish.
Really looking forward to this series, I think it will have a much different flow and be edge of your seat action. Home ice either gives the Rangers a slight advantage based off recent play at home or at a minimum fades Tampas edge so it’s a toss up. Game 1 is HUGE!! |

Seriously game 1 is really big. Last 2 series we have dropped game 1. We need a big performance from the boys tonight. Can’t believe we are in the ECF! LFG!!! |
